YouTube Course review – How to make a website with Elementor (2021)

If you wanted to publish a blog or a website, there has never been a good time. Thanks to page builders like Elementor, publishing a blog has never been easier. As they say, all it takes is a single step. My blogging journey started with that single step. And, here I am, seven blogs down, and I know the journey has just begun.

Usually, when people kick off their WordPress site, they get stuck on the design part of the site or blog and wonder which theme is good for them. Well, if the theme is in your mind, then you are in the right space. And, there several that you can choose from.

One of my personal favorites is Astra. With over one million installations, it’s the best WordPress theme around. Like every other theme, there is a free and pro version. For bloggers new to the WordPress world, the free version (which is pretty good) works well. It’s got all the bells and whistles that you need to make your blog professional-looking.

But if you need something more personal or custom-made, then you could build your very own page on top of Astra with Elementor.

Elementor is a page builder and helps you build fantastic web pages. It’s easy to use, and within minutes you can have your custom-looking page in no time.

Here are some of the resources that you can use to get that great-looking page going. We’ll look at two YouTube channels for this.

  1. How To Make A Website For Free 2019 | Beginners | Fredy K.
  2. How to make a website with Elementor – 2021 | Darrel Wilson

These two channels are what I used to get my blog page going – and the results have been great thus far! So, without further ado, let’s dive in.

We first start with Ferdy Korpershoek’s channel – Fredy (subs: 215K) has been developing tutorials on WordPress since 2014. His style of teaching is simple and easy to understand. His coverage of the topic is just enough to get you to a point where you can build your page with ease. What I like about him is that he makes things look so easy. As a beginner, that helps! I mean, if it seems complex and complicated, it’s a put-off.

How To Make a WordPress Website | Elementor | Fredy K.

We navigate to this video where Fredy talks about building a website with Elementor. This video tutorial is for people who want to create a website step-by-step and quickly.

The video is 3 hours long, and it packs a punch. The tutorial is longish as Fredy starts with the installation of WordPress. For those of you who have already installed WordPress and Google Site Kit, you could skip these sections and go directly to 45:10 on the timeline. Here’s where Fredy starts with downloading Elementor.

What does this tutorial cover?

This tutorial is by far a complete Elementor YouTube video that’s out there. Fredy has done a pro version of Elementor as well. But what he’s covering here is the free version.

Some of the design elements he covers in this tutorial include background colors, image handling, shape dividers, gradient overlay, etc. He also covers some critical page elements like counter, testimonial section, progress bar, etc. There is a section on advanced CSS for those advanced users.

At the end of the tutorial, you will have a great understanding of the page builder – Elementor.

Extras

If you want to showcase your work, the tutorial introduces you to a portfolio plugin (Radius Theme). That’s not all, Fredy, goes a step further and helps you to create a full-fledged blog for your website. By the end of three hours, if you have gone through the course meticulously, the chances are you will be able to develop a full-blown website in a matter of hours.

How to make a website with Elementor – 2021 | Darrel Wilson

‘How to make a website with Elementor – 2021’ is one the quickest video on Elementor that’s out there. Darrel’s YouTube channel has been around since 2016 and has since then garnered over 274K views. He does videos on WordPress, SEO, website design, and many more. His channel has 4-5 exclusive videos on Elementor.

So, if you want to make a pit stop for Elementor or maybe browse something more – like ‘how to start your digital business or affiliate marketing, Darrel’s YouTube channel is an excellent place to start.

For our Elementor review, we’ll look at this YouTube video tutorial – ‘How to make a website with Elementor’.

What does this tutorial cover?

‘How to make a website with Elementor – 2021’; is a no-frills Elementor tutorial aimed primarily at people who have first-time users of Elementor.

The course does not in-depth, but it stops at a point where you have just enough exposure to the concepts of Elementor.

Darrel’s style of teaching is breezy and gets straight to the point. Watching his videos is like watching a Keanu Reeves flick, like ‘Speed’ or Bruce Willis’ ‘Die Hard.’ Yep, those movie choices are retro, but that’s my vintage! And, I can’t help it!

Anyways, back to the course, Darrel covers the basic ‘how to’ questions on domain names, hosting and then moves on to general settings, pages, and menu. The one thing he does cover is mobile optimization and Elementor Advanced features – the pro version. The channel is multilingual (Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, French, German, and Portuguese).

Elementor is a great page builder. Perhaps, the easiest of them out there. The best part about Elementor is that you do not have to invest a lot of your time getting that website done. It’s a matter of a few hours, and before you know, you are staring at a brand-new website that you’ve created.

I think both Fredy and Darrel do a great job with Elementor. Now it’s your turn!
